Food & Dining

Where to tuck into breakfast in Paradise

Fuel your body with a hearty breakfast before spending the day lazing by the beach, chasing thrills at a Gold Coast theme park or shopping your way through Surfers Paradise.

Whether you're looking for brekky on the go, a sunny spot to enjoy a leisurely sit-down breakfast or just need to caffeinate, our cafes and restaurants are some of the best on the coast.

Grab a juice

If you’re an early riser or in a hurry, Boost on Cavill Mall opens at 6.30am each day. Pick up your favourite smoothie or juice (ours is the classic Mango Magic) and take yours down to the sand to watch the sun rise over the ocean. There’s a second Boost located closer to Surfers Paradise Boulevard that opens at 9am.

Eggs by the ocean

Our newest beachfront dining retailers have a vast offering, complete with barista-made coffee! Head to La Playa from 7am daily for a sweet pitaya bowl or some savoury wagyu mince. If you're up for it, Nahm Talay Thai has a breakfast offering like no other, with crab and egg lava croissants or crispy enoki eggs Benedict. Breakfast at Nahm Talay Thai is sure to be a talking point and a feast for the eyes!

Chase a big hearty breakfast

Went a little too hard on the glitter strip last night? There’s a big breakfast with your name on it. Kitty O’Shea’s does all the classics and an Irish take on a big breakfast, complete with black pudding.

Pick up a coffee and snack

If your morning doesn’t start until you’ve had your coffee, make a B-line for Starbucks. Open from 6.30am the coffeehouse serves up everything from strong espresso to sweet iced frappes. Krispy Kreme is also open from 9am serving its original glazed doughnut alongside barista-made espresso coffee and shakes.

Tea to go

Grab a tea to go and spend your morning sipping and exploring. Named "best bubble tea in Australia" by Time Out Australia in 2019, Gotcha Fresh Tea offers a delectable range of handcrafted, collagen and milk teas, with each cup freshly brewed and made to order. Open from 9.30am daily.

Grab a brekky burger to go

Rise and shine for a breakfast burger with proper bacon, eggs and more. Hungry Jack’s offers brekky burgers, hash browns, BLATs, wraps and breakfast muffins until 11am each day.

Breakfast in Paris

Whether you like your morning meal sweet or savoury, Crepe Addict flips French-style crepes with both toppings, plus pancakes, waffles and omelettes. Ooh la la!

Brunch in Mexico

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so El Camino Cantina is now offering a full breakfast menu (exclusively at the Surfers Paradise store) with freshly squeezed juices, warm tacos and aromatic coffee but get in early to secure a balcony table overlooking the beach. The Mexican fiesta continues around the corner at Guzman y Gomez where you can meet your mates for a breakfast burrito, breakfast quesadilla or guacamole on toast after 8am, before you hit the waves.
